Over The Fence is an installation that narrates my adolescent anxiety, intimate moments of solitude, unrequited love and the inner struggle to find my identity. I reclaimed and repurposed the door of my childhood home, from where it had stood in front of the construction site that had once been my house. The door is the last link to a time before my family was displaced by gentrification and an entrance into my teenage state of mind. The images are a mix of candid and constructed moments that suggest a non linear narrative. They draw from experiences of growing up in Long Island City trying to discover who I am.
